PRESENTED BY: Professor Mary Koss, University of Arizona
This presentation by Professor Mary Koss explores the call to re-include direct victim voices from the unserved to reprioritising our services in the coordinated network of sexual and physical violence response. “This is my social justice crusade. We in the US are very proud of ourselves for our sophisticated response system, yet our statistics clearly show that we are not serving the neediest and we are not sufficiently focused on survival needs. This is really two pieces: the problem and some new directions down by which we could be guided by listening to victim voices, especially the unserved or underserved.”
