Working with culturally and linguistically diverse people

About the module

Welcome to the Queensland Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Common Risk and Safety Framework (CRASF) – Working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) people module. In this module, you will learn about intersectionality, the specific challenges faced by CALD victim-survivors of DFV, working with interpreters, using trauma-informed practice when working with CALD victim-survivors and how to apply the CRASF tools in a culturally appropriate way.

This module is intended for all services and organisations who may come in contact with a CALD victim-survivor, their children or a person using violence. The information and guidance relating to trauma informed and culturally aware responses is designed to assist in the development and continuation of appropriate responses to DFV.

This module should take approximately 90 mins to complete. There is a short quiz at the end of this module and when you have answered all questions correctly, you will receive a completion certificate. You will have unlimited time to complete the quiz and unlimited attempts.
